Knockdown and rebuilds were all the rage last decade when construction was cheap, and money was even cheaper. However, times have changed, and Melburnians needing a home transformation have to be wiser with their finances now.
That was the thinking behind this development in Malvern East, where we weighed up whether to renovate or detonate. The old house needed a lot of work!
This shift in the market led to a new approach for this project we completed in Malvern East. Instead of following the traditional knockdown and rebuild route, we designed a strategy that was both more profitable and luxurious. Our goal was simple: help our clients “have their cake and eat it too” by creating a project that balances financial gain with quality living spaces.
Knock Down One and Rebuild Two
Located near Chadstone Shopping Centre, our Malvern East Development is a perfect example of this philosophy. We took an old property and turned it into two beautiful, high-end family homes that provide all the luxuries without compromise. Importantly, the sale of one home more than covered the costs of the entire project.
