The Port Melbourne Project
Currently under construction.
Two large inner city family homes are being created, “a stone’s throw” from the beach on this “Island Site” presenting three street frontages.
The brief was to create a timeless “bookend” corner property that fits this quirky streetscape without revealing its authentic vintage in a street where a 150-year-old Mariner’s Pub sits next to an 80s townhouse, all with the beach seen tantalisingly close, at the end of the street.
You be the judge; we opted for a façade with an “Art Deco / warehouse conversion look” presented in a Modern Feel curved to announce its corner setting.
Inside, we prefer the “Mid Century Modern” styling, featuring timber, stone, and matt black-framed glass, which evokes a refurbished 70-year-old warehouse, finished in a contemporary way.
Each with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, double garages and two distinct living zones, these properties feature luxury ensuites, walk-in robes, butler’s pantries, study nooks, and the list goes on.
North-facing windows and elevated outdoor living spaces enjoy spectacular skyline views, whilst the front feature porthole window provides a view of the bay.
